Heather Cox Richardson Watch Party!!

This Member-Led Event is a watch party for an Award Ceremony and discussion featuring Heather Cox Richardson. Ms. Richardson writes the Substack newsletter, Letters from an American, synthesizing history and modern political issues, which is read daily by more than a million readers. (Including a bunch of PHC members.) 

She is receiving the Inaugural Defender of Democracy Award  from Writers for Democratic Action [WDA], a group of 4,000 poets, writers, and journalists who value free speech and the written/spoken word.

Following the award, she will converse with the writer Siri Hustvedt. Per WDA, their conversation “will focus on the challenges of the crucial run-up to the Midterm Election on which the fate of democracy hinges.”

The member hosts are Christine and Jon Winder, and Patti and Peter Fontechhio. The event is casual. As many seats as we need plus a few tables – the screen’s the thing. Bring some cookies or snacks, coffee or tea – there’ll be hot water – or a beverage of your choice.
